I always try my best to ensure to have healthy snacks while on a diet. I find that tasty and healthy smoothie recipes are a life saver for me and keep me energised throughout the day. My favourite recipes would include coconut milk as a base rather than milk as it has much lower calories!
When I made my tasty and healthy smoothie recipes I considered a few things including; what my favourite fruits are. What are some natural sweeteners I could use, and finally what base I would like best? the answers to these questions are unique to every person. My favourite sweetener is honey!
Recipes using Celery and Carrots and other Vegetables
When considered healthy snacks while on a diet, I found myself drawn to recipes using celery and carrots. Carrots and celery are some of the lowest calorie snacks out there. To spruce them up you can consider pairing them with peanut butter, hummus dip, greek yoghurt, soy sauce or any other healthy dip!
Aside from recipes using celery and carrots, you can get creative with other vegetables. Consider cutting up some capsicum, cucumber or some huge cuts of lettuce. I find the secret being in the dip as a good dip can bring flavour to any bland tasting item!
Healthy Popcorn Ideas
When considering ideas for healthy snacks while on a diet lots of people overlook some unique healthy popcorn ideas. Popcorn is a wonderful alternative to chips and other savoury snacks! But who says popcorn can only strictly be savoury? Check out some of the ideas below!
Did you know it’s easy to flavour your popcorn? You don’t even need butter or oil! Some healthy popcorn ideas I have come up with include; Adding lime juice, cumin powder and chilli powder for a zesty unique taste or using peanut butter a little maple syrup and a sprinkle of chocolate power! Just add to air-popped popcorn then bake for 5-10minutes and you’re done, It’s easy!
